Was born in 1983 in Odessa. In 2006 she graduated from the Academy of Refrigeration, having obtained a specialty as an ecologist. In 2014 she started to take pictures. In 2015 she was selected for a photographic course "Bird in flight" also studied at the school of Victor Marushchenko, in the course "Conceptual Photography" of Roman Pyatkovka, finished the online MoMA course "Seeing Through Photographs", visited a lot of workshops, studied at Photodepartament. Svitlana is part of UPhA and EEP Berlin platform. Participated in group exhibitions in Berlin, Los Angeles, Rome, Paris, Austria, Ukraine. She took part in photo festivals in Greece, Austria, Ukraine. Published the art book 'God is an artist' and presented it in Vienna in 2017. Produces a series of art postcards "Message". Shooted for Bird in Flight, The Village, la Boussole, The Ukranians. In 2017 she created an art showcase for "Всі Свої". Currently works as a Communication Manager at the Odesa Photo Days festival, she is co-owner and curator in the art gallery "Avangarden" in Kiev.

DARIA PASHCHENKO

Daria Pashchenko is a curator and researcher, founder of the TRSHCHN platform and co-founder of the ART MATTERS UKRAINE. Her background includes +7 years in leading cultural institutions of Ukraine as well as independent curatorial practice with a strong focus on body in contemporary art and in-situ projects. Possession of a deep expertise in Eastern European art. Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine currently she based in Berlin, Germany. She has BA in Art History and Cultural Studies from National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” and diploma of the International Curatorial Program from Node Center for Curatorial Studies. Her background includes experience working at the leading Ukrainian art institutions such as Art Arsenal, PinchukArtCentre, Bottega Gallery. While affiliated with these institutions she worked on international projects such as International forum Art Kyiv, Week of contemporary art Space Odyssey 2011, the First Kyiv biennale of contemporary art ARSENALE 2012, and Ukrainian Pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale. Played a key role in the exchange program between the USA and Ukraine named “Innovation. Invention and Youth”: implementation of US educational projects in Art Arsenal in collaboration with US Embassy of Ukraine, Smithsonian Institution and Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation. Founded “Arsenal of Ideas” project that successfully works at Art Arsenal since 2013. It turned into an educational festival in 2015. During 2013-2015 she curated online-platform & collective of artists, curators and writers (wo)manorial, who contemplate the ever changing concept of femininity. In 2014-2015 after the Revolution of Dignity, she curated projects dedicated to recent challenges of Ukrainian society: “War/SHE. Understanding war from female perspective”, “Terror of small differences” and “Blue to Yellow”. Her curatorial project “Verbatix” participated art and digital culture festival transmediale Vorspiel program 2018 in Berlin. Curated 12+ group and solo exhibitions in Ukraine, the USA, Cyprus and Germany. Daria Pashchenko currently organizes the U Residency, international artist-in-residence program between Kyiv/Ukraine and Berlin/Germany to create strong links and artists collaborations. Also she creates a video-channel focused on contemporary curating. Her recent interests include in-situ projects, street art and sound art.
