Bar Sociale Alimenta, located in Lecce (61/A via Egidio Reale), is a social inclusion and work regeneration project whose mission is to promote the professional inclusion of people with physical and cognitive disabilities through training and autonomy. Since February 9, 2026, it has offered a hot food service (Mon-Fri 12:30-15:00) and catering, led by Emanuela Vincenti (chef and psychologist) and a team of 12 baristas (Arianna, Marco A., Marco B., Mattia, Fabrizio, Matilda, Lara, Davide, Marika, Luca, Alessia), trained within the Consortium Sale della Terra, a civil economy network for social cohesion. Supported by the Regional Guarantor for the Rights of People with Disabilities and Deghi, it embodies the « Welcome Social Food » philosophy (food as a cultural exchange value and a tool for cohesion), with local ingredients and recipes inspired by Salento. Awarded in 2025 (« Insieme per fare l’impresa » Prize by Confindustria Lecce, « Equilibrio di Bilancio » Prize by the Order of Chartered Accountants), it proves that a daily choice can build more inclusive communities, putting care and social impact at the heart.
