Drop a line to the wind - Documentary Film

Authors: Camilla Cason and Paula Onet / Director: Paula Onet / Choreographer: Camilla Cason

"Drop a line to the wind" is an anthropological and mystical journey into the origins of tarantella, a dance reputed to cure the bite of the tarantula, the mythical spider of the Salento region (Puglia, Italy). The film is based on and interwoven with Camilla Cason's performance "Partir d'une tarentule", which, through the tarantella, questions our relationship with living things and the current need to rethink these links and create new rituals. Performance becomes the leitmotif of the film, which seeks to link the origins of a ritual practice with its resonance in the present and its possible future.
