Lea Walloschke is a Berlin-based artist working across sculpture, moving image, sound, and performance. Her practice explores how space is perceived and experienced through the body, focusing on the physical and sensory relationship between form, movement, and sound. She works with sculptural and cinematic logics to construct situations that unfold between material presence, spatial perception, and narrative tension.
Her work has been presented internationally across Europe, Japan, and the United States, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art Alicante /MACA/, where her video works Post Tiger King and L’origine*al were shown in the context of the Alicante Video Art Festival /2022, 2026/.
As a production designer on internationally visible productions including Sun and Concrete, Rave On, and Xoftex, her work has been presented in the context of international film festivals including Sundance, Berlinale, and Cannes. In 2026, she was selected for Berlinale Talents.
She is co-founder of the performance collective Koikate’, which gained recognition within the European performance context with support from major cultural institutions in Germany and Switzerland. Her studies include a Diploma in stage and costume design at the Berlin University of the Arts /2009/ followed by composition and vocals studies at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute.
