Born February 14, 1964, in Lecce where she resides. Mother of Mariachiara, Letizia, Federica, Marina. First woman President of the Regional Council of Puglia. National Vice President of the Democratic Party. Member of the European Committee of the Regions (CoR). Graduate in law, she has been an administrative lawyer with honorary robe since 1991. She has been teaching legal and economic subjects since 1993 at the Giuseppe Palmieri Classical High School in Lecce.

Re-elected Regional Councilor of Puglia in the 2020 elections in the Lecce constituency.

She served as Regional Councilor for Tourism and Cultural Industry, Management and Enhancement of Cultural Heritage in the X Legislature (2015-2020), elected Regional Councilor in the IX legislature (2010-2015) and confirmed as Councilor for Economic Development-Competitiveness, Economic Activities and Consumers, Energy, Networks and Material Infrastructure for Development, Industrial Research and Innovation, in the VIII and IX Legislature (from 2009 to 2017). In the VIII and IX Legislature she also held the role of Vice President of the Puglia Region.

She is the author of:
