MARGHERITA CAVIEZEL

Margherita Caviezel (Milan, 1997) is an interdisciplinary artist working across performance, photography, music, and writing. Her research emerges from the body and the voice, exploring the relationships between memory, image, language, and presence. She studied Philosophy and trained as an actress at the MTM Grock Theatre School in Milan.

She is the co-founder of ALOT, an artist collective dedicated to the research and practice of traditional polyphonic singing. Through encounters with different territories, ALOT explores the voice as a space of memory and collective presence. Their research gave rise to VENI, a goodbye, a choral performance that premiered at the 78th Ciclo Classici Festival and continues its journey. ALOT is currently collaborating with Lina Lapelytė on Mud Works for FOG Triennale Milano Performing Arts 2026.

Alongside her collective work, Margherita develops an independent research focused on the relationships between archive, landscape, and the transmission of the gaze. She is currently working on M. Il deserto (working title), a photographic and performative research on family memory and inherited images.
