Art historian Marta Ponsa is Head of Artistic Projects and Cultural Programming at Jeu de Paume, where she curates film cycles, conferences, and performances. As an exhibition curator, she has developed projects on European photography from the 1920s–1950s, experimental and documentary film and video, as well as digital creations, particularly in Jeu de Paume’s online creation space. She regularly contributes to international institutions dedicated to image and contemporary creation, film festivals, and educational establishments such as the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles, Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, and the University of Geneva.
Among her recent exhibitions: « Le Supermarché des images » with philosopher Peter Szendy; « Travaux en cours: Noëlle Pujol, Ben Rivers, and Ana Vaz », solo exhibitions by Marine Hugonnier, Bertille Bak, Jonathas de Andrade, and Juliette Agnel, and the project « Chantal Akerman. Travelling », which dialogues the filmmaker’s archives with her works. She is currently preparing an exhibition with artist and filmmaker Laura Huertas Millán.
