Michela Santoro, originally from Alessano (Le), graduated in Modern Literature from the University of Pisa with a thesis in Film History.
After various experiences in the film industry, she returned to Salento in 2003 to dedicate herself to cultural projects.
In 2004, she founded Libreria Idrusa, the southeasternmost bookstore in Italy, known for its vibrant program of initiatives promoting reading.
Since 2015, she has been the organizational manager of the Armonia Literary Festival, under the artistic direction of Mario Desiati and in collaboration with the Strega Prize and the Calvino Prize.
She is an advocate for children's reading and serves as the scientific coordinator of numerous cultural projects throughout the Salento region.
